Publishing Partner

Position Overview:

Amplity is seeking a dynamic and results-driven publication salesperson focused on the sale of digital and print advertising across Amplity’s medical publications.  This individual will sell to customers directly and coordinate across New Client Partners and inside sales to ensure a high fill rate across publications.  

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical communications, publishing, advertising sales, and client engagement in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. With a focus on driving adoption of Amplity’s specialized Oncology platforms, this individual will help expand Amplity’s publication market presence and maximize revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development

Sell Digital and Print Advertising:

  • Prospect, pitch, and close advertising opportunities with clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare industries.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying new opportunities and deepening relationships with existing clients.

Owns macro-relationships with media companies (e.g. Omnicom Health, CMI, etc.) 

  • Although NCPs remain responsible for their work with each media company, this position maintains the role of general point of contact and works to expand our relationships beyond current engagements.

Coordinate collaboration across NCPs, inside sales and Client Outreach/LeadGen:

  • Develop and execute tools to track and optimize fill rates across Amplity’s digital and print advertising offerings across medical publications.
  • Partner with everyone selling NPP to identify opportunities within their accounts for digital and print advertising sales.
  • Serve as a resource for LeadGen to coordinate campaign strategies across NCP & inside sales

Support engagement with editorial teams:

  • Coordinated efforts across publications to ensure consistent engagement with editorial leads and NCPs to align Amplity's offerings with current healthcare trends.
  • Manage a tracker of topics, based on content calendar, and work with LeadGen to support lead generation for inside sales and NCPs

Data-Driven Insights:

  • Monitor market trends, client needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for Amplity’s medical communication solutions.
  • Use data and analytics to fill rate performance, identify opportunities to close fill gaps, and inform strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree  
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in medical communications, publishing advertising sales, or pharmaceutical marketing.
    • Proven track record of success in selling digital and print advertising or similar promotional solutions.
    • Experience working with healthcare clients, particularly in Oncology, is strongly preferred.
    • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical sales cycle and client personas in Medical, Marketing, and Market Access.
  • Skills:
    • Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and exceed revenue targets.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively convey Amplity’s value proposition.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to align solutions with client business objectives.
    • Proficiency in CRM tools, analytics platforms, and digital advertising metrics.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
