Position Summary:

TrendAI is hiring a Publication Producer to join the Threat Research Insights and Impact (TRII) team. TRII translates TrendAI’s threat research into business impact through publication, amplification, listening, and measurement. The Publication Producer is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of incident-centric stories, breaking-news responses, perspective pieces, and other fast-turnaround content. The role focuses on coordination and editorial production rather than original long-form authorship: the Producer sources input from internal subject-matter experts, develops summaries and connecting material, and drives each publication through layout, review, and amplification. Based in Austin, the Producer anchors North America rapid response and partners closely with colleagues in Asia.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver fast-turnaround publications end-to-end against TRII’s rapid response standards, with most pieces shipping within hours of the triggering event.

  • Engage and coordinate contributing authors across research, threat intelligence, incident response, product, and field organizations to gather technical input, supporting evidence, and approvals.

  • Develop the connective material in each publication, including executive summaries, section transitions, headlines, and metadata, and produce concise original pieces where no primary author is available — typically a minor share of overall output.

  • Drive layout, supporting graphics, social amplification assets, and final review through to stakeholder sign-off.

  • Partner with the Threat News Monitoring & Detection function to convert flagged signals into assigned work, and with adjacent publication functions when an emergent piece warrants follow-up long-form research.

  • Apply AI-assisted tools to drafting, summarization, fact-checking, and production tasks, and identify recurring workflows that can be standardized or automated.

  • Contribute to TRII’s editorial calendar and content tagging hygiene to support measurement, syndication, and vertical-specific delivery.

  • Represent TRII in cross-functional incident coordination and contribute to internal communications that keep the broader organization informed during significant events.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity content, security journalism, threat communications, technical marketing, or a related discipline, including meaningful experience in incident-driven or fast-cycle environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver technically credible content under time pressure, with strong project coordination, source management, and stakeholder skills.

  • Working knowledge of the contemporary threat landscape, including vulnerability disclosure, malware families, threat actor naming, ransomware operations, and major incident archetypes.

  • Crisp short-form and mid-form writing, with the ability to adapt voice across research summaries, news pieces, and perspective formats.

  • Fluency with AI-assisted workflows for drafting, summarization, and triage, and a track record of producing publication-quality output with such tools.

  • Strong editorial judgment and the temperament to work calmly against tight rapid-response standards, including occasional schedule flex during significant incidents.

  • Experience collaborating effectively across time zones, particularly with teams based in Asia.

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience.
