Major Duties:

  • This position is located in the Public Affairs Office at Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, Cherry Point.
  • You will support the command's Public Affairs Office by developing and administering a positive, comprehensive public affairs program for internal relations, media relations, community relations, special event projects and ceremonies.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Multimedia production: Comprehensive experience managing the full video production lifecycle -- from initial scriptwriting and directing to final delivery -- using professional DSLR or video cameras, lighting, and stabilization tools. Must be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition) for editing, color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics. Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and using narrative storytelling to translate complex messages into compelling visual content. Links to portfolios of prior work will be required. 2. Journalistic writing: Experience in researching and writing news and feature articles tailored for both print and broadcast media; 3. Photography: Experience in digital photography supporting journalistic news and feature stories; 4. Digital Presence Management: Experience with digital communications for an organization, including internal and public websites and social media platforms.
