Main Accountabilities
- Interact with public authorities, national and regional levels, developing current projects and promoting active networking.
- Manage media relations for press releases, interview and advertisement in coordination with the GBU Communications team
- Draft local press releases and other external news articles for validation of GBU communications
- Monitor and track information relevant to the company published on press/media and take appropriate actions as needed.
- Advise and train key managers (or spokespersons) of the entity for their internal and external communication
- Guide, assist, and validate press releases and other external news articles drafted by the local Communications Team
- Control the brand and visual identity of Air Liquide (e.g. appropriate use of logo mark, colors, etc.)
- Oversee the development and maintenance of AL website with updated information.
- Work on government affairs, industry affairs, reputation and crisis management in close coordinating with functional departments and with the Cluster;
- Maintain good relationships with central and local authorities and agencies that are relevant to company business interests and within the remit of the legal and government affairs. Draft and finalize official letters to the governments and other correspondences for GA;
- Co-ordinate and set up meetings with governmental/local authorities
- Liaise and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally (media and influential professionals)
Differentiating Criteria
- Administer the dissemination of corporate information or messaging externally
- Manage work of a team of communications representatives that draft corporate messages; review and edit messages to ensure that they are clear, thorough, on-brand, and seek to preserve the company's image
- Perform complex tasks typically following established processes
- Involved in / some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Political Science, or related field.
- Preferred at least 7 years experience in public affairs, government relations, public relations, or related field, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills in the public policy and advocacy realm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong knowledge of government and public policy processes, including legislative and regulatory affairs.
- Knowledge of public relations principles and experience in developing and implementing PR strategies related to public affairs or advocacy efforts.
- Knowledge of relevant communication technologies and tools, such as social media, content management systems, and media monitoring tools.
