Position Summary:
The purpose of this role is to support operational excellence across the PTP EMEA function by providing valuable insights and acting as a trusted advisor to the leadership team. The role holder contributes to process improvements and helps ensure operational efficiency across the organization. This position involves participating in cross-functional and global transformational initiatives and their integration into operations, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across teams, and aligning team efforts with organizational goals. Additionally, the role requires leveraging expertise to support and guide operational managers and teams in achieving their objectives through agile collaboration within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support & Performance Management
- Support stable and effective daily operations by identifying and addressing operational risks and opportunities.
- Act as a liaison to facilitate communication across the Solution & Compliance and Support Teams.
- Monitor KPIs across sector/division-based P2P teams to evaluate operational effectiveness, challenge performance, and propose workflow or technology improvements.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership through research, analysis, and continuous interaction with the P2P teams.
Continuous Improvement, Technology & Productivity
- Assist in driving the productivity funnel, including creation, maintenance, and prioritization of initiatives.
- Ensure PPI is embedded in daily operations through visuals, tools, training, and ambassador engagement.
- Contribute to the department’s Operational Improvement agenda and PPI Journey, including long- and short-term initiatives.
- Support cross-team improvement efforts and monitor productivity delivery.
Transformation, Process Integration & Change Support
- Assist in the establishment and operational integration of new scopes, processes, and organizational structures during large-scale transformation projects.
- Work closely with the GPO Team, business partners, and new managers/leaders to support service ramp-up and stable operations.
- Participate in global and cross-functional transformation initiatives and contribute to their integration into daily routines.
Governance, Compliance & Audit Support
- Support internal and external audit processes, including SOX compliance initiatives.
- Help maintain complete and correct operating procedures aligned with compliance requirements.
- Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) in collaboration with other GBS P2P workstreams.
- Act as a liaison between Compliance and P2P Operations to support the development and execution of BCP frameworks.
Knowledge Management & Capability Enablement
- Support knowledge management efforts by collaborating with Learning & Development and Operations.
- Help establish and maintain frameworks for structured documentation and training content.
- Ensure proper implementation and ongoing maintenance of knowledge assets across teams.
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 3+ years’ customer service, P2P or Procurement leadership experience is required preferably in a shared services environment.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, implement, and monitor project activities to achieve desired outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Skills Required:
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, effectively managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Possess a strong understanding of purchase to pay and business principles with the ability to apply them to drive operational excellence.
