As a member of the eCoE you will bring leadership and a strong technical expertise together with the ability to work in a self-aligning team with minimal hierarchy. You will be a catalyst for the Finance transformation and work effectively as an influencer, and leaning in as coach and catalyst to the Finance network as needed. The Position
In this pivotal, forward-thinking role, you will be a core member of the Global Standard Costing Squad, collaborating with colleagues across Switzerland, the US and Canada.
Leveraging your deep financial expertise and mastery of the standard costing process, you will be responsible for the end-to-end orchestration, execution, monitoring and validation of all standard costing outcomes within the Roche Pharma (and Group) financial statements. You will not only execute the process but also act as the ultimate judge of its quality, independently verifying that standard costing results are financially sound and logically correct, product by product, regardless of the system landscape.
Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Guardianship: Orchestrate, execute, monitor and validate standard costing process outcomes to ensure high-quality and accurate financial reporting within Roche Pharma and Group
Inventory & Supply Chain Finance: Manage comprehensive Inventory Reporting and serve as a trusted finance partner to the Supply Chain organisation, translating operational activity into financial truth
Advanced Analytics & Reporting: Within the eCoE framework, you will be instrumental in building and developing analytical models to audit the accuracy of costing outcomes and significantly enhance management reporting by integrating standard costing insights
Collaboration & Transformation: Collaborate across the organisation (including RSS, Finance Enterprise Partners and the Business) to manage core finance activities, drive continuous process simplification and support the achievement of digital finance objectives while safeguarding business continuity
Who you are:
A university degree in Finance/Accounting
At least 5 years of finance experience in a global setting, with a notable emphasis on manufacturing and cost accounting business partnering
Strong understanding of standard costing principles and methodologies, as well as core finance processes and systems
Technical experience with SAP S4 cost accounting/standard costing, as well as profitability analysis
Strong analytical skills with the ability to examine financial data, identify patterns and draw conclusions, as well as the ability to effectively balance and switch between high-level and detailed views
A passion for change, simplification and automation, as well as the ability to see through complexity and identify and remove waste
Tech-savvy and out-of-the-box thinker to drive process innovation and improvement
Resilience and the ability to adjust to a fast-changing environment
Strong interpersonal skills as well as Entrepreneurial spirit for collaboration, influencing skills and the ability to build trusting and productive relationships
Ability to understand the business context and to apply judgment towards prioritisation and decision-making
Fluent in English, showcasing an ability to operate seamlessly in a multicultural, data-rich environment, as well as good communication skills.
