About the Role
You will be an important member of our Mental Health team by ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred care to all patients. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams to provide effective and efficient evidence-based care, whilst also demonstrating commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Applications are invited for first year psychiatry registrar positions (YR1 Psychiatry Registrar positions x 6 PMCV)
Training rotations available include: general adult inpatient and community psychiatry, child and adolescent mental health, Koori, consultation-liaison, psycho-oncology, psychogeriatrics, dual diagnosis, perinatal psychiatry, and psychiatry in the private setting.
There is an extensive academic and educational program available to trainees at St Vincent’s Mental Health. St Vincent’s has a particular commitment to providing a comprehensive training program which includes quality experience in psychotherapy (supported by our Head of Psychotherapy Training), and an active examination preparation program. In addition to RANZCP Supervision, a senior psychiatrist supports our inpatient registrars with a reflective practice group.
Classification for this position will be HM25 ($129,048.40 per annum)

To be registered to commence training in Victoria, you need to be selected by the VPTC selection committee of the RANZCP and matched to an accredited training position at a Victorian Health Service.
Applicants need to apply to each Health Service they wish to train at and to Victorian Psychiatry Training Committee (VPTC) via the Post Graduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV)
