Position Summary

Blackbird Health is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team. You will deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults. We are looking for clinicians licensed in PA, VA, NJ, or MDor those willing to become licensed in these states with full financial sponsorship from Blackbird.

Employment Options

  • Role: W-2 Employee - Part-Time
  • Commitment: 20 hours per week (17 clinical hours + 3 non-clinical hours).
  • Schedule: Flexible, with emphasis on core hours (after 3 pm ET weekdays and/or weekends).
  • Work Model: Fully Remote

Compensation & Benefits

  • Total Earning Potential: Up to $175,000+ annually.
  • Base Salary: $72,500 for the guaranteed 20-hour/week schedule.
  • Additional Earnings: Earn $100 per clinical hour for additional patients beyond your base caseload.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Comprehensive Care: Conduct evaluations, assessments, and medication management for the 2–26 age range.
  • Whole-Child Integration: Work with therapists to create treatment plans that address the root cause of behavior.
  • Family Empowerment: Educate parents and caregivers, helping them navigate their child’s mental health journey.
  • Clinical Excellence: Oversee diagnostic testing and maintain HIPAA-compliant records.

The Basics You’ll Need

  • Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Certification: PMHNP-BC certification.
  • Experience: At least one year of independent psychiatric experience working under licensure.
  • Licensure: Active license in PA, VA, NJ, or MD (OR a current license in another state and a willingness to obtain these via Blackbird sponsorship).
  • Compliance: DEA license and State Prescriptive Authority.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work during core after-school hours (after 4 pm ET) and/or weekends.
