Primary duties:
Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.
Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
Job Duties:
Develops training curriculum, study outlines, and orientation materials to be employed during procedures-based maintenance training.
Support the development of criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
Continuously revise lesson plans to meet new training requirements and maintain updated technical information.
Demonstrate and use effective training analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills.
Develop instruction materials – self-paced guides, case studies, job aids, evaluations; scenario-based course outlines.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify specific training needs and develop solutions for satisfying unique skills-based training requirements.
Deliver classroom instruction based on developed courseware and satisfy course closeout requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related job experience; or a Associate’s degree with 4 years of related job experience; or a High School diploma with a minimum of 6 years of related job experience may also be considered.
Experience as a military or civilian maintenance trainer.
Experience in military or civilian aircraft maintenance.
Experience in training content development, delivery and instructional design methodologies.
Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management Systems such as Learning Exchange, or other related software suites used for learning content management.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, utilize subject matter experts, team members, and established processes to create and sustain training materials under minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required for the position.
Ability to lead small teams for training projects with minimal management oversight.
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Formal instructor experience.
Experience teaching including designing and developing formal course curriculums, establishing workforce development training needs, developing goals and objectives, developing training programs, and applying them.
Working knowledge of customer compliance documents, government instructions and government standards.
