PSL Developer (Profile Scripting Language)

We are hiring a Profile Scripting Language (PSL) Developer to work on initiatives with large-scale banking clients. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining the FIS Profile Core Banking System. Responsibilities include writing and debugging code using the Profile Scripting Language (PSL), coding and integrating new components,  modifying existing ones, and providing support for projects like upgrades and conversions. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Utilize PSL/MUMPs to code, debug, and maintain applications and program logic within the core banking system.
  • Maintain, test, and integrate new application components and ensure the successful deployment of system improvements.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure application reliability and performance. 

 

Required qualifications: 

  • At least 3 years of experience developing and maintaining core banking systems in  Profile Scripting Language (PSL), MUMPs
  • Experience with FIS Core Banking Platform
  • Knowledge of financial industry best practices, regulations, and operations, particularly in areas like retail and commercial deposits, loans, and/or debit card processing
  • Familiarity with GT.M Database
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across several engineering and product teams
  • Excellent Analytical skills

  • Automated testing (Z-unit)
  • Unix-based application and/or infrastructure support
  • Shell Scripting (BSH)
  • AWS – EC2, S3, Cloudwatch
  • Tidal Automation/Scheduler

Minimum Degree Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, in lieu of a degree, demonstrating in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology for each missing year of college is required
