TITLE: PS SW Engineer I

LOCATION: Belgrade (Hybrid)

Position summary

Software Engineer will be part of a Professional Services development team located in Serbia, working in collaboration with development and engineering teams across the globe, responsible for the delivery of frontend/backend payment system and it`s integration with various web services.

Authentic is NCR data-driven online platform for payment, developed in Java, integrated with many web and payment services and interfaces, running in both Linux and Windows operating systems, running both on premise and in cloud environment and supporting all the popular database engines.

Responsibilities typically include:

Development
1. Software development using Java technologies and SQL
2. Unit and integration testing
3. Documentation

4. Extending business logic and rules by writing Java extensions to the platform
5. Data manipulation – such as configuration of existing interfaces

Education and/or Requirements Required:

The applicant should possess a minimum University Degree or equivalent work experience. Ideally, the degree will be Computing or IT-related.

Skill Requirements:

Ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience with Java programming
• Understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Data Structures
• Knowledge of relational databases with some SQL programming experience
• Has interest in payment industry and prefers data driven approach for solving problems
• Solid understanding and interest in technology – both infrastructure and application
• Ability to understand business processes and problems
• Ability to work with Git Source control

Additionally:

• Knowledge and experience in implementing Real-Time (ideally OLTP) Systems
• Ability to understand business processes and business problems.
• Build and CI/CD Tools – Maven, Jenkins
• Ability to understand data relationships and how data can be used to solve business problems.
• Ability to understand and capture business and technical requirements

Personal skills

• Excellent communicator with strong oral and written skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and with little supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work within an international team, lead a team or work alone
• Good knowledge of the English language is essential.
