A day in the life


The Real Estate & Customer Experience Manager is fully accountable for the day-to-day performance, operations, and customer experience of a portfolio of logistics and industrial assets. This role ensures asset value is protected and enhanced through hands-on operational oversight, proactive risk management, and close coordination with internal stakeholders. Operating in a fast-paced, operationally intensive environment, the role requires regular site presence, responsiveness to customer needs, and strong regulatory awareness. Working cross-functionally with leasing, legal, construction, and finance teams, the position translates asset strategy into disciplined execution while maintaining credibility with customers and partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own full accountability for the day-to-day performance, operations, and customer experience of assigned assets.
  • Protect and enhance asset value through proactive operational oversight, cost control, risk anticipation, and execution of asset strategies.
  • Manage the operational complexity of logistics and industrial properties, ensuring strong site presence, responsiveness, and compliance with applicable regulations (including ICPE and leasing frameworks).
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external stakeholders (leasing, legal, accounting, construction, service providers) to ensure efficient execution and alignment on asset priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, acting as a trusted partner while resolving issues with ownership, urgency, and credibility.
  • Develop and execute asset-level business plans, including budgeting, financial performance tracking, and service charge management.
  • Leverage systems and tools (e.g., Salesforce, Yardi) to generate insights, monitor portfolio performance, and identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational improvement.

Building blocks for success

Required:

  • 5–10 years of experience in B2B customer-facing roles within real estate, logistics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing industrial or logistics real estate assets or portfolios.
  • Experience owning operational performance and customer relationships within a multi-asset environment.
  • Experience operating in a hands-on, fast-paced environment requiring autonomy, responsiveness, and on-site presence.
  • Hands-on experience with property management systems such as Yardi and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, financial performance, and service charges.
  • Knowledge of commercial leases and property operations.
  • Knowledge of applicable real estate regulations (including ICPE and leasing regulations in France).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly across assigned assets.

Preferred:

  • Experience with property transactions, acquisitions, or portfolio integrations.
  • Experience leading change initiatives, system implementations, or process improvements.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, operationally intensive logistics or industrial environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
