Ensures accurate and timely administration of trade allowances and promotional contracts, as well as ensuring that customer payments are appropriately made for promotional purposes. Responsible for clearing and resolving promotional deductions and promotional off-invoice pricing discrepancies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Request appropriate documentation for deductions and payments from regional sales associates, channel officers, directors, brokers, distributors and customers
- Collect all unauthorized deductions or write offs according to policy
- Ensure company policies and procedures relating to trade spending are followed
- Research and resolve errors found on trade agreements
- Accurately reflect customer and product profitability
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Certifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or an equivalent. Must also have a college entry level understanding of accounting principles.
Experience:
- At least three years of experience in the accounting field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in the broker community, preferred.
- SAP/VISTEX experience or knowledge a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have general accounts payable and accounts receivable knowledge.
- Must have customer service experience as the position requires contact with brokers and other various customers of C.H. Guenther & Son, LLC
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with associates as well as customers by utilizing professional etiquette on the phone, through written correspondence and face-to-face.
- Must have excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Must be an excellent team player.
- Must have the knowledge and ability necessary to understand basic operational, technical and office processes.
- Must have strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
