Projects - Finance Analyst

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Projects – Finance Analyst based in Braeside, Melbourne. You’ll act as the main link between the Finance function and the business; Providing proactive business, functional and external (market, competitor, customer) insight based on in-depth business knowledge and solving key business problems.

What you’ll do as Projects – Finance Analyst:

  • Understand business requirements (including reporting) and the change impacts on wider Finance, acting as the intermediary between the two and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Engage with other streams within Finance (Order to Cash, Record to Report and Source to Pay) to gain a clear understanding of the financial process and alignment through the Global Process Owners network.

  • Responsible for creating and leading the partnership between the business and the wider Finance function.

  • Budgeting management for all Projects IPP, Solutions and UGMC

  • Monthly cost reviews with Projects Operations versus forecast and budget

  • Forecasting input to Tagetik for all Projects monthly costs.

  • Support Finance Business Partner Projects with project P&L completion and review to support National Sales Team

  • Support modelling creation for the TC Underground Mine Cooling (UGMC) and Power for projects over $1m in collaboration with the business and the Finance Business Partner Projects

  • Regular use and expertise in M3, MDP, Power BI and Tagetik.


 

You are:

  •  Bachelor’s degree qualified in Accounting or Finance or Economics

  • Qualified or nearing completion of CPA or CA Qualifications is desirable

  • Experienced in a similar role with 5 year financial or management accounting experience preferably in the Energy Sector

  • Ideally experienced with M3 or similar ERP systems

  • Highly detailed orientated

  • Proactive and self-driven

  • Good people interaction skills.

  • Highly organised and able to work under pressure and meet timelines

  • Capable to an advanced level with Microsoft Applications, particularly Excel
