Project Trainee - GPS

Pakistan - Sindh - Karachi Full time

Job Purpose

Support the deployment and embedding of the Global Production System (GPS) at a manufacturing site in Pakistan. You will partner with site teams and regional GPS colleagues to deliver projects that enhance quality, safety, service, cost and innovation. This hands-on role offers exposure to digital and continuous improvement tools, strong growth potential, and the chance to help unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.

Responsibilities
- Support planning, tracking and governance for site strategic projects to ensure on-time delivery.
- Help implement continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and improve safety, quality and service.
- Drive process optimization using Lean tools (SMED, value stream mapping, time-and-motion studies, Kaizen, 5S) to reduce waste, shorten changeovers, improve throughput, quality, and safety.
- Assist digitization, automation and analytics initiatives, including basic data collection and dashboard support.
- Support One GPS deployment activities and maturity assessments at site level.
- Contribute to procurement and materials roadmap activities, including supplier lists and purchase planning support.
- Prepare materials for weekly and monthly governance meetings, including status updates and simple reports.

Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- Fresh graduate or up to six months relevant experience (manufacturing, supply chain or operations preferred).
- Basic understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Lean or Six Sigma concepts.
- Comfortable working with data and simple analytics tools such as Excel & Power BI/Power Apps.
- Familiarity with OEE concepts and performance reporting.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Curious, solution-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous learning.
