Project Specialist, Research - Global Corporate, Life Sciences

GLG is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Research Team as a Project Specialist, working with clients from industry‑leading companies across Technology, Payments, Industrials, Life Sciences, and Medical Devices. You will join a growing Global Research Team that collaborates with GLG’s sophisticated client base, including leading international technology clients, as well as colleagues across GLG globally. You will be responsible for supporting the creation and execution of qualitative and quantitative research that helps clients understand industry and market trends, gather end‑user feedback, test messaging and concepts, and more with some of the world’s largest technology and payments companies.

This role is London‑based and office‑based.

GLG’s Corporate Research business supports companies across a wide range of industries by providing the insights they need to make critical strategic decisions. The team leverages its survey and qualitative research capabilities, alongside the world’s largest and most varied source of first‑hand expertise, to deliver tailored quantitative and qualitative insights in a highly customised environment.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist with the design and facilitation of customised qualitative and quantitative research targeting a wide variety of specialised topics and populations
  • Provide client‑facing support and customer service, including professional written and verbal communication and confident interpersonal interaction
  • Compile and review research outputs and reports for clients (data analysis not required)
  • Learn to manage multiple project timelines, prioritising tasks to ensure key deadlines are met
  • Navigate research requests with complex requirements and client‑specific preferences
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients
  • Progress towards direct client engagement to understand and meet client learning objectives
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding research content, network participants, and client information
  • Collaborate effectively across teams on multiple projects within a large portfolio of engagements

At a minimum, you will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Market Research, Social Sciences, Life Sciences, or related fields preferred)
  • 2–3+ years of experience within the market research industry, with exposure to quantitative (surveys, databases, etc.) and/or qualitative research (interviews, focus groups, product testing, etc.)
  • Adjacent experience in related industries or roles, or additional education, with a demonstrated ability to learn new skill sets, may be considered

We would love it if you also have most of these qualifications:

  • Experience working with external clients; prior exposure to industries such as Technology/Payments, Life Sciences/Healthcare, or Industrials is a plus
  • Strong written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working in a deadline‑driven, process‑oriented, client‑service environment
  • Experience analysing research findings and/or communicating insights to stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, rigorous environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and solve problems proactively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work
  • Ability to work effectively in an in‑office or hybrid environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong cross‑team communication
