We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Planning Material Coordinator to lead material strategy, procurement coordination and supply chain improvement efforts within Manufacturing Mechanical Design & Modeling (MMDM) Tooling & Packaging Engineering. This role requires leadership skills, cross-functional collaboration and the ability to influence at the Department Manager level.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting in-depth tooling drawing review and creating Purchase Requests based on those reviews
  • Leading development and execution of material strategies
  • Reviewing and assessing material and assembly quotes
  • Collaborating with material planning, hardware management teams, and engineering
  • Driving improvements in material flow and accountability
  • Identifying and mitigating material-related program risks
  • Leading rapid response strategies and system improvements for complex procurement scenarios.
  • Promoting a strategic culture within the program supply chain team
  • Supporting and participating in cross-functional projects to enhance material efficiency and affordability
  • Ensuring alignment between Supply Chain team, MMDM and functional organizations
  • Extracting and analyzing critical information from complex development situations to drive resolution

This job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience reviewing Engineering drawings or other technical documents

Qualifications We Prefer: 

  • Master’s degree in business, finance, management, supply chain, or related discipline
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CPIM, CPSM)
  • Experience with ITAR compliance, licenses, and agreements (TAA, DSP-5, DSP-73)
  • Experience as a cost account manager or in material sales/EAC analysis
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally in a matrix environment
  • Experience in Export/Import Compliance for international suppliers and partners
  • Strong analytical, planning and resource management skills

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
