Working as part of our Business Support Team, you will be providing valued support and insights to both our front-line teams and to our customer. As the Operations Manager reporting directly to the Business Manager, you will be at the heart of resolving technical and functional support needs to ensure that our program provides consistent, efficient, and reliable services to our customer.

Working in partnership with program senior leaders, you will harness your previous operations management experience to plan, coordinate and execute key program activities and initiatives. Demonstrating both discretion and empathy, you will be responsible for delivering outcomes that satisfy the needs of a diverse stakeholder group.

This Fixed Term role is part of our Program Management function, operating primarily from our office in Henderson, WA. Limited travel may be required to fulfil the requirements of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project, management, and customer reports including review packs, estimates at completion packs, formal customer deliverables, and weekly, monthly and quarterly status reports.
• Analyse factors of project success to determine the most practical and cost-efficient way to achieve project objectives.
• Assess project issues and assist in the development of resolution options to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Forecast and manage budget allocations, as well as identifying and managing associated risks and opportunities.
• Plan, manage and support non-routine Product Line events and meetings.
• Coordinate and manage the new starter induction program.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Professional qualifications or at least 5 years’ experience in leading Business Operations or Project Management.
• Experience in preparation and review of presentation material and reports.
• Experience in tracking and managing project cost and scope.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity or capability to learn operation of Raytheon Australia tools including SharePoint, Nexus, PowerBI and Jira.
• Prior experience working in Defence project environment is highly desirable to assist the successful candidate through an initial steep learning curve.
