Project Officer (Carbon Materials Enhanced Concrete)

Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications.

We are looking for a Project Officer (PO) to work on carbon enhanced concrete materials. The role will focus on research and development of new materials related to the project

Key Responsibilities:

  • The PO will be responsible for new carbon materials enhanced concrete development (e.g. via incorporation of various carbon materials where they are securely stored but also enhance concrete property in different ways);

  • The PO will also be in charge of testing of all relevant aspects of advanced concrete material developed;

  • The PO will also be conducting cost-benefit and LCA analysis of the material developed

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of carbon material enhanced concrete/geopolymer material

  • Bachelor degree in material science, civil, chemical engineering or related fields.

  • Familiar with relevant analytical and experimental technique/skills, hands-on experience as well as solid theoretical background; excellent paper/report writing skills.
