Provide project management, technical support, and oversight for small-to-mid-sized capital projects ($1 MM – $10 MM). This role focuses primarily on natural gas meter stations and small-diameter lateral pipelines. As these projects are often reimbursable, the candidate must excel in transparent cost tracking, client communication, and efficient execution from inception to close-out.
Job Responsibilities:
- Full Lifecycle Management: Lead projects from initial scope development through construction, commissioning, and final asset integration.
- Reimbursable Coordination: Maintain meticulous documentation for cost-plus or reimbursable projects to ensure seamless billing and client audit compliance.
- Project Controls: Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets; generate accurate cost estimates and Authorizations for Expenditure.
- Technical Specification: Perform sizing and specification for meter runs, valves, filters and piping components.
- Procurement & Bidding: Manage the material procurement process and lead the bidding/selection of third-party construction contractors.
- Contract Management: Evaluate construction contracts and commercial agreements, ensuring scope clarity and risk mitigation.
- Reporting: Lead weekly progress meetings and generate routine status reports for both internal personnel and external customers.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Minimum 4-year accredited degree in relevant discipline.
- Experience: 2–3 years of midstream or utility industry experience.
- Project Scope: Direct experience with meter stations, interconnects, and/or small-diameter pipelines is highly preferred.
- Client Facing: Ability to manage "customer-driven" projects where high levels of communication are required.
- Multi-Tasking: Proven ability to manage a portfolio of multiple smaller projects simultaneously at different stages of the lifecycle.
- Soft Skills: Self-motivated with a "boots-on-the-ground" mentality; comfortable working with both field technicians and executive leadership.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in MS Office (Project/Excel). Experience with AutoCAD or hydraulic modeling (e.g., ProMax, Synergi) is a plus.
- Travel: Ability to travel approximately 25-50% to project sites for kick-offs, tie-ins, construction oversight, commissioning, etc.
