As Project Manager you will be responsible for leading complex customer projects within large Naval & Defence programs. Each program may include unique requirements that must be validated, planned, and delivered in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and customers. As a Project Manager, you will plan, execute and deliver projects against commitments.
This position involves work with defence clients and therefore requires eligibility for security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
Lead medium to large defense customer projects from initial scoping to acceptance.
Establish and maintain clear project requirements, deliverables, and plans.
Manage multiple complex projects in various phases of the lifecycle simultaneously.
Take full responsibility for project schedule, cost, quality, and compliance.
Ensure adherence to established business processes and internal standards.
Coordinate cross-functional and global project teams to secure timely and high-quality delivery.
Bid and Commercial Ownership
Lead bid and tender activities for new opportunities and change requests.
Develop solution descriptions and build the project business case.
Ensure that all bid material is complete, compliant, and commercially aligned with internal policies.
Project Delivery and Stakeholder Alignment
Drive project execution and delivery during negotiation and following contract award.
Manage scope, negotiate changes, and maintain alignment with all stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
Work closely with engineering, operations, sales, and management to ensure alignment and progress.
Communicate progress, risks, issues, and decisions clearly and consistently.
Governance, Reporting, and Compliance
Monitor project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
Prepare and deliver project reviews for customers, management, and other stakeholders.
Maintain accurate, complete, and up‑to‑date project documentation, plans, and reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum 10 years of project management experience, including work in technical or defense programs. Project Management certification such as PMP is preferred.
Experience with bid management, financial ownership, and defining commercial and technical solutions.
Strong communication skills and experience working in global, multi-disciplinary environments.
Ability to work independently, manage several activities in parallel, and remain structured under pressure.
Experience working with classified information handling protocols
Eligibility for security clearance is mandatory.
Additional Information
Primary workplace: Virum, Denmark.
International travel: approximately 10 to 15 days per year.
