To further strengthen our Service Department, we are currently recruiting for the position of Project Manager Service (Meat).
 

Are you a natural organizer with a passion for technique, technology and customer relations? As a Project Manager Service at Marel, you’ll take full ownership of service projects, from the initial kick-off to successful completion. You’ll oversee the technical solution, progress, budgets, and quality, acting as the key link between our customers and internal teams to ensure everything runs smoothly. With your sharp eye for risks, costs, and improvement opportunities, you’ll deliver strong project results.
 

Projects are executed in the domain of Primary and Secondary Processing within the Meat processing area. As part of the job, travelling is required occasionally to a max. of 20 to 25%.
 

What you’ll be doing:

  • As Project Manager, you are budget responsible for the Project Management of service projects. You monitor milestones in the project plan.
  • Together with the project team, consisting of Project Engineers, Control Engineers, Field Service Engineers and other, you fulfill the contractual obligations upto the satisfaction of customers.
  • Project Management refers to the process of project planning, organizing, directing, communicating and controlling project work to achieve project objectives as defined in agreed contract between Marel and customers and Marel internal goals.
  • Execution of project as primary contact from Kick-off meeting to project closure
  • The role involves close contact with Marel customers where the Project Manager is acting as the primary contact point and internal contact point regarding the project execution. You keep stakeholders updated on progress, status and deviations from plan.
  • You analyze and act on risk and monitor project cost (including installation & commissioning costs).
  • Manages and coordinates the change request process on items and services outside contract scope.
  • Project evaluation with aim of continues improvement with respective sales team and manager Field Service Engineers.

What kind of person are you?

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant area, such as Mechanical Engineering, Business Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a service environment
  • Willing to travel globally to manage our service projects
  • Analytical, pro-active and financially strong
  • Your colleagues see you as a natural leader, who is able to manage several stakeholders well (on different levels in our and the clients' organization)
  • Your excellent leadership skills help you to get the best out of the project team
