About the role:
As a Project Manager, you’ll contribute to a critical component of our success. While working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver innovative, new solutions that meet their needs and help advance the way the world pays, banks and invests.
You will:
Independently project manage multiple, large, complex, client-facing implementation projects/programs and delivers them within scope, time, budget and to client’s satisfaction
Plan and coordinate all aspects of projects from initiation through delivery
Develop, define, and execute project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
Identify needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major project roles
Manage the project work plan and holds the team and project resources accountable to variances in budget and hours.
Interact with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams.
Oversee schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.
Coordinate activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet project goals and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget constraints and of the appropriate quality standards for the project scope.
Manage project risks, issues/problems and activity progress to ensure project goals, e.g., deadline, scope and quality are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.
Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups in FIS and/or in client organizations.
Closely monitor and mitigate projects risks as they are identified via avenues such as change management and executive level steering committee meetings.
Manage the client relationship and expectations while developing relationships at a senior level.
What You Will Need:
10+ years of experience with Project and Program Management in Treasury technology solutions, including leading large-scale (1000+ days) project implementations successfully
Must have worked in a capital markets environment (banks) or with financial services vendors handling banking clients
Previous experience project managing implementations of Treasury Systems
Must have hands-on, client-facing, project management experience and must have independently managed and delivering end-to-end Treasury implementation projects for clients as a Project/program manager
Proven Project Management and leadership skills.
Established track record of managing multiple projects.
Previous project governance and budget management experience is required.
In-depth knowledge of Financial Services products and services.
Advanced knowledge and experience of end-to-end project implementation life cycles, i.e., waterfall, agile, hybrid, iterative and other modern approaches to project implementation methodologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors).
Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, customer service, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills.
Working knowledge of Project Management tools
Supervisory experience required
Requires some travel and working from FIS office / client site
Bonus if you have:
Background with Quantum, Integrity Treasury Systems
Project Management Certification is a plus.
