Job Description
Project Manager role coordinates and manages different development projects through all phases of the development lifecycle including initiation, planning, release and closing. The Project Manager will manage partner communications, project requirements, work breakdown, development engineering, testing and release. Project management responsibilities include scheduling and planning across several areas, coordinating internal and external development and test resources and working with resource managers and other project managers to insure proper staffing, project understanding and integration.
The Project Manager will own the project responsibility for the definition of project priorities, delivery of project expectations, and identifying and mitigating issues and risks among a cross-functional project team, all while representing the best interest of the business unit.
You will report to the Manager, Project Management and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities:
- Follow and deliver the best project management practices
- Highly complex, large-scale multi region projects
- Coordinate across functional areas and including working with RA teams, and external providers, to drive successful project and program implementation and deliver business benefits.
- Identify and manage complex project risks, from the beginning through to resolution
- Present project status to senior leadership
- Identify and drive to resolution project resource or deployment conflicts
- Ensure project understanding across other plans to avoid duplication or misaligned opportunities.
- Potential for global travel up to 10% per year.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science discipline, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in product/application development, project management or project leadership role.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills, including the ability to sell ideas and present strategies at department VP level.
- Proven ability to lead multiple teams, partner with management and lead indirect resources.
- Demonstrated experience in leading project development efforts.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, execution, risk management.
- Knowledge of project management processes and tools such as PMI model, scheduling software and configuration management tools.
- Competency with project management like Jira.
- Full English proficiency required (written and verbal communication skills).
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Knowledge of software development frameworks like SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Similar industry experience such as technical knowledge in industrial controls, new product design, hardware/firmware, product testing, manufacturing, continuation and product life-cycle engineering.
- Knowledge of product certifications, such as 61508 functional safety, information security, UL, NEMA, CE, TUV, and other approval agencies.
- Advanced training or certifications in PMI/PMP, agile, Lean Six Sigma, Business Administration, Management, Operations or Project Engineering.
