Job Description

Evergreen Innovation Group, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Renewables, with a strong background in solar, renewable energy, battery storage, and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on electrical constructability.  

 

The ideal candidate will possess solid technical expertise in electrical construction and will support projects from pre-construction through completion with a hands-on approach to project coordination, constructability reviews, and installation. This role is essential in helping ensure that projects meet high standards of functionality, safety, and efficiency while aligning with client goals and industry requirements. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following: 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities 

  • Provide day-to-day coordination and guidance to Project Engineers and Field teams. Work under the direction of the Senior Project Manager.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Support electrical constructability efforts by assisting with design reviews and identifying potential issues early in the project lifecycle. Recommend practical, cost-effective solutions to improve constructability, efficiency, and long-term reliability. 

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and work breakdown structures with a focus on electrical construction activities. 

  • Coordinate closely with design and field teams to ensure constructible solutions are incorporated throughout the project. 

  • Assist with project budgeting and cost control efforts related to the electrical installation scope.  

  • Track costs, forecast expenditures, review invoices and change orders, and support financial reporting to help maintain project profitability. 

  • Support quality control initiatives for all electrical work. Participate in site walks and inspections to verify compliance with design documents, applicable codes (NEC, NFPA), and company standards. 

  • Identify potential constructability, schedule, and safety risks and support mitigation planning. Help ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and local regulations.  

  • Promote a safe working environment on all project sites. 

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders by providing regular updates on project status and responding to questions related to scope, schedule, and constructability. 

  • Collaborate with project leadership to support the project team, providing technical input on electrical scope items and assisting with issue resolution. 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in project delivery and execution.

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Prolog or similar), accounting cost management software (CMIC or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar). 

  • A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude. 

 

Education and Experience    

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required. 

  • Minimum 4–7 years of experience in project management or project engineering within the electrical contracting industry, preferably supporting solar, energy storage, EV charging, or renewable energy projects. 

  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, renewable energy technologies, constructability principles, and applicable NEC, NFPA, and OSHA regulations. 

  • PMP or CAPM certification preferred. OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus. 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

  • Ability to travel as needed for on-site project support, client meetings, and field coordination activities.
