What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team with a core focus on Reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict timelines and within budget with the eventual transition into a BAU environment. 

The role operates within the Global Markets Transaction Services group and will function primarily as a Project Manager on various initiatives across the reconciliations space where various project drivers include: Business or process improvements, technology enhancement or system implementations, operational risk reduction, quality improvement, migrations, cost reduction, etc.

The incumbent will work directly with relevant participants to define project parameters, success criteria, solutions, and timelines while deploying best practices in project management, project planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication

What will you do?

  • Develop project plans and timelines including definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Determine and define project roles and responsibilities including management of project team members and motivate them to meet objectives.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Manage deliverables in line with SLAs

  • Escalate issues to management as appropriate

  • Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders including facilitation communication between project stakeholders and team members.

  • Regularly report project progress to management and stakeholders

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.

  • Identify, analyze, and manage project risks development risk mitigation strategies.

  • Track project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.

  • Perform change management and ensure changes are well documented.

  • Build strong, long-term relationships throughout the RBC organization.

  • Constantly seek to improve own capacity, skills and expertise.

What you need to succeed?

  • 2-5 years of proven experiences and abilities in leading teams and/or projects

  • University degree/colleague diploma or equivalent, or combined with experience (Business, Finance, Accounting fields preferred)

  • Highly developed and effective communication, leadership, relationship building, organizational skills.

  • Sound decision making, problem solving, analytical skills through the process of investigations.

  • Strong ability to exercise a high degree of judgement and negotiation.

  • In-depth understanding of Capital Markets and reconciliation processes.

  • In-depth knowledge of RBC applications such as Intellimatch, Sophis, Gloss, ADP are an asset

  • Solid understanding risk and quality control and mitigation measures, audit/SOX requirements applicable.
