What you will do
Under general direction, you will plan and control the execution of assigned projects.
You will act as a subject matter expert during the pre-bid process, in collaboration with field sales department.
You will be responsible for the overall profitable execution of projects, whilst ensuring compliance with contractual terms & conditions, applicable legal requirements, and the highest ethical standards.
You may lead a multi-disciplined team of project engineers, technicians and designers depending on project size
You may coordinate the management of subcontractors, especially within BA Systems & Specialty Markets,
How you will do it
You will assess potential risks to project and margin achievability and provide the field sales organization with objective and reliable information related to engineering design, cost of labor, material and subcontractors, etc.
You will be responsible for flawless and profitable project execution in compliance with contractual obligations (accurate, on-time, billed, within budget & scope of contract), Johnson Controls processes and procedures, industry installation techniques and applicable legal requirements.
You will attend job progress meetings as required, steer corrective actions and define recovery plans where needed.
You will negotiate, prepare and issue subcontractor contracts and ensure subcontractors understand performance levels needed for flawless execution of the project.
You will manage the selection, ordering, warehousing and logistics of materials as required for the project.
You will drive project review meetings and analyze and audit engineering contract and standard compliance.· You will manage risks to project and margin achievability through analyzing financial reporting systems and project schedules and calibrate solutions and establish project recovery plans.
You will investigate opportunities for improvements in the project scope that will result in value added change orders.
You will resolve issues and dispute where other parties impact project execution.
You will use Johnson Controls standard tracking and reporting tools to ensure project document compliance with contract requirements.
You will communicate project progress and financial status to management and customers.
You will ensure successful transition to appropriate Johnson Controls Field Operations team and coordinate relevant customer-training requirements.
People and Organization
You will ensure individual goals and objectives are aligned and from a priority include EBIT, cash flow, backlog growth, SGA, productivity improvements, succession planning.
You will coach teams on the management of operational risks, conflict resolution and establish recovery plans
You will ensure compliance with the EHS Program for subcontractors.
