What you will do

This is a phenomenal opportunity to join our Silent Aire team at Johnson Controls as a Project Manager (Deployment Manager). This opportunity is of great importance. PM’s are fully responsible for ensuring that the project is managed and supported in a very disciplined manner across the multiple stakeholders and departments, so that our customers continually receive a high-quality product and service at every step of the journey.

The successful PM will develop pricing models that encompass all costs that are applicable to a project, it’s timelines and boundaries clearly identifying what our price includes/excludes. This will ensure that we focus on margin attainment.

The set-up and integration of Autodesk Construction Cloud and other software-based systems across the business together with the development of processes and procedures will further bolster our efforts in seeking out greater efficiency departmentally.

The PM will also work hand in hand with the site teams daily, understanding project status, risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies so that the PM function fully supports the field at all times.

How you will do it

· Full responsibility for successful delivery of Projects across the full lifecycle – post handover from Client Account Management through to successful Commissioning and handover to Client.

· Develop comprehensive deployment plans covering logistics, site readiness, build sequencing, contractor scheduling, safety requirements, and commissioning milestones.

· Review and validate site readiness documentation and ensure all prerequisites are met before deployment activities begin.

· Coordinate delivery sequencing of MDC Products, chillers, and ancillary equipment, ensuring alignment with onsite build plans.

· Act as the onsite or remote oversight lead (depending on deployment model) for the full build and integration of the modular data center.

· Manage and direct subcontractors and vendor teams responsible for setting, connecting, and integrating the containerized units and chillers.

· Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure connections between modules.

· Oversee QA/QC activities, ensuring assembly and integration meet engineering, safety, and compliance standards.

· Serve as the primary point of contact between internal engineering, manufacturing, logistics, customer representatives, and onsite contractors.

· Provide regular project updates, risk assessments, and issue escalations to internal leadership and the client.

· Facilitate pre-deployment meetings, daily onsite stand-ups, and milestone reviews.

· Maintain strict adherence to safety, permitting, and regulatory requirements for onsite construction and mechanical/electrical installations.

· Identify risks early and implement mitigation plans to maintain schedule, quality, and cost targets.

· Ensure environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols are in effect throughout the deployment.

· Coordinate commissioning activities with engineering, controls teams, and OEMs for electrical, cooling, and operational systems.

· Validate that all system tests, documentation, and inspections are completed prior to handover.

· Ensure a smooth transition to customer operations teams through training sessions, documentation transfer, and final acceptance procedures.

· Accountable for the safe delivery of projects through the management of risk and competence and setting out clear deliverables to the H&S team on what culture, reporting and training standards are to be set/met. Partner with the other Project Management team members to ensure that project delivery aligns with business strategic objectives and priorities.

· Manage Project Engineer(s) as required, fostering a collaborative working culture focused on project success.

What we look for

· Experienced in project management and delivery in commercial, data centre, high-tech, healthcare or manufacturing industries.

· At least 7-10 years' experience delivering high value projects into construction, M&E, civil or similar industries.

· Track record of leading and driving multiple teams including sub-contractors to deliver projects on time, on budget with customer satisfaction of the utmost importance.

· Very well organised with an attention to detail
