Job Description Summary

The Project Manager for Installations (PMI) independently leads complex, multi modality installation projects (e.g., MR, CT, PET, NM), ensuring timely, safe, and cost effective execution while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The PMI can work fully remote within Belgium or from the Diegem office, and will spend a significant portion of time on customer sites across Belgium.

This role requires strong project management expertise, technical understanding, and the ability to influence diverse internal and external stakeholders. The PMI also supports knowledge sharing within the team and contributes to the continuous improvement of installation processes, tools, and standards.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Lead and execute complex installation projects across multiple modalities, managing scope, cost, schedule, and quality.

  • Serve as the customer’s primary contact and escalation point throughout the installation lifecycle.

  • Conduct site assessments, tender evaluations, and solution design in collaboration with sales and design teams.£
     

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Apply sound judgment to resolve complex technical and operational challenges.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, EHS policies, and internal quality processes.
     

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Coordinate and align all parties involved: customers, contractors, architects, and GEHC stakeholders.

  • Drive regular progress reviews and ensure clear communication, documentation, and alignment.

  • Prepare and present business intelligence reports, including cycle time, installation costs, and revenue forecasting.
     

Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing

  • Lead structured project close‑outs, capturing lessons learned and recommending improvements.

  • Share expertise and support the development of junior Project Managers.

  • Contribute to productivity, simplification, and standardization initiatives within Installation Operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical field.

  • 5–8 years of project management experience in healthcare, construction, or technical installation environments.

  • Proven track record managing multi‑modality, high‑value, or turnkey installation projects.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and installation business drivers.

  • Solid technical background in electrical, mechanical, and civil works, ideally in clinical environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Fluency in Dutch, English, and French.

  • Willingness to travel frequently within Belgium for customer site visits; valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to work remote from anywhere in Belgium or from the Diegem office as preferred.
     

Desired characteristics

  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification strongly preferred.

  • Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience.

  • Proficiency in MS Project, Salesforce, and project reporting tools.

  • Strong skills in design and planning software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM).

  • Demonstrated ability to support team knowledge sharing and collaboration.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
