Position Description:

The Louisville Automation and Robotics Research Institute (LARRI) at Speed School of Engineering seeks a Project Manager I to perform duties related to automation system integration in support of manufacturing industry for the Industrial Solutions Center (ISC) at the Louisville Automation and Robotics Research Institute (LARRI).  This position will be housed at LARRI and will report to LARRI’s Associate Director of Industry Engagement.  The mission of LARRI’s Industrial Solutions Center is to engage in industrial R&D projects in robotics and automation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with ISC team to develop technical proposals/bids for contract work with industrial clients, including schedule, deliverables, and costs. This position will be responsible for assisting with scoping projects and estimating time involved. In addition, this position will help to maintain project scope such as ensuring we do not go over budget and maintain project timelines on signed agreements.

  • Specify, implement, or integrate robotics and automation hardware and software solutions for contracted project work.

  •  Work with vendors to identify equipment best suited for the project and request quotes to meet client deliverables.

  • Interact with client personnel, deliver, and install custom hardware and software solutions to clients.

  • Keep update-to-date with Industry 5.0 developments and technologies.

Target Compensation Maximum:

$70,623.00

Target Compensation Minimum:

$47,048.00

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
