The Project Manager role within Ambulatory Facilities & Activations (AOI) will focus on Facilities Governance and plays a key role in enabling coordinated decision making across Stanford Medicine’s complex facilities environment. With multiple entities and hundreds of projects requiring alignment around space, capital, and operational resources, this role helps structure and manage governance processes that bring the right leaders together to make informed, timely decisions. The Project Manager partners closely with executive stakeholders to organize governance forums, prepare materials, track decisions and actions, and ensure clear communication across leadership levels. This role is ideal for a strategic and highly organized project manager who thrives at the intersection of operations and leadership. By supporting facilities of governance, the Project Manager helps accelerate decision making, align entities on space and facility priorities, and coordinate large-scale planning efforts across the organization.

The Ambulatory Facilities & Activations business unit leads the transition from design to go-live, managing activations, space changes, and facility readiness across Stanford Medicine. By integrating project management, collaboration tools, and operational planning, AOI delivers efficient, well-coordinated spaces that support excellence in care and experience.
Activations and Operational Integration (AOI) specialize in providing integrated project management for clinical and administrative space activations, hospital tours, and facilities of governance. Through standardized procedures and proactive risk management, the team ensures aligned workflows and strong stakeholder engagement.

A Brief Overview
The Project Manager (PM) leads key organization initiatives for Stanford Health Care. Project Managers are responsible for the coordination and completion of all aspects of project management on assigned projects, including, but not limited to, project scope, project schedule, project budget, project plans, facilitating meetings, documenting requirements, overseeing development, operational workflows, and implementation. Additionally, the Project Manager directs participants in compliance and regulatory alignment efforts.
The Project Manager is responsible for identifying and resolving project issues, making sure the project progresses on schedule and on budget. The PM is the point of communication with stakeholders and is accountable for the project's success. The Project Manager must have strong communication skills in acting as the liaison between the project team, subcontractor, customer, key stakeholders, and senior leadership. The Project Manager has ultimate responsibility for project delivery. The Project Manager may direct the project/senior project coordinator (PC or Sr. PC) to expedite project related tasks.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $62.75 - $83.16 per hourThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
