Job Description:

What will you work on?
As part of the Asia Operations Team, you will report to the Manager, Engineering in carrying out full product development activities and provide engineering support at vendors for engineering builds and debug to meet the product specifications, cost and schedule.

How will you create impact?

• Support Spin Master’s business growth plan in Vietnam

• Work with internal stake holders as well as external suppliers on the product development activities

• Carry out project management and monitor progress with regular status update. Take necessary actions to ensure project is always on schedule.

• Review overall product design and provide cost saving ideas as required to ensure project meets cost target

• Initiate design changes and modifications as required to ensure product meets Design and Quality specifications.

• Provide on-site technical & manufacturing support including product debug, root cause analysis, problem troubleshooting and corrective actions

• Provide support to the internal stakeholders on any production output or capacity related issues and material authorization review

• Assist sourcing, MOQ and cost negotiation of new and/or consigned materials when required

• Perform ad hoc assignments as requested including traveling within Vietnam and/or outside Vietnam


What are your skills and experience?

• Good command of English language and communication skills. Ability in Chinese language is an added advantage.

• Strong problem-solving skills and familiar with using basic root cause analysis techniques to work out corrective action plan.

• Strong project management skills with ability to conduct and lead project meeting independently

• Able to work from concept drawing through development until production;

• Possesses superior problem-solving skills, and independent decision-making abilities, all while operating in an extremely demanding, fast-paced team setting;

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical /Electrical Engineering/Garment or fashion or related discipline;

• At least 6-8 years’ experience in the toy industry or consumer electronics products and handled project independently for at least 5 years;

• For soft toys industry, Bachelor’s degree in garment or fashion related engineering discipline.

• Able to make frequent trips to suppliers as required.
