The opportunity:

As an Energy System Project Management Senior Professional, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex energy system projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and high-quality results for our clients. You will play a crucial role in driving the successful execution of Hitachi Energy's solutions in Thailand.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will lead and manage the full project lifecycle for various energy system projects, including but not limited to grid integration, renewable energy solutions, power quality, and substation automation.

  • You will develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, budget control, and communication strategies, act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and managing expectations.

  • You will monitor project progress, identify potential deviations, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track, manage project teams, provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and successful delivery.

  • You will oversee procurement activities and vendor management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.

  • You will ensure all project activities comply with Hitachi Energy's quality standards, safety regulations, and relevant industry norms, prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
    You will identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within project management processes, contribute to business development activities by supporting proposals and client presentations.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related technical field. A master’s degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 8 to10 years of experience in project management within the energy sector, preferably with a focus on power transmission, distribution, or renewable energy projects. PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion, demonstrating strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of energy systems, power electronics, grid technologies, and relevant industry standards. Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage budgets, analyze risks, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders. Fluent in both Thai and English (written and spoken).
