Job Summary:
Location: Methodist Corporate OfficeResponsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution – 30%
Leads assigned building construction, renovation, and interior improvement projects from project initiation through closeout.
Develops and manages project plans, schedules, milestones, and implementation activities to support successful project delivery.
Works independently to plan, recommend, coordinate, and implement special projects or tasks with minimal direction.
Assists the Director in surveying project sites on a regular basis to assess project progress, site conditions, and operational needs.
2. Stakeholder, Vendor, and Contractor Coordination – 25%
Partners with internal customers and external vendors to plan and execute project logistics, including temporary locations, relocation of furniture, phones, computers, office equipment, medical equipment, and staff.
Coordinates meetings and planning sessions with internal departments, contractors, consultants, and outside vendors to support project execution.
Interacts with internal customers, outside vendors, contractors, government officials, and facilities personnel to maintain effective communication and support quality project outcomes.
Consults with architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and other project partners to ensure alignment with customer needs, project requirements, budgets, schedules, and applicable standards.
3. Documentation, Communication, and Reporting – 20%
Establishes and maintains project files, including planning documents, timelines, meeting records, attendee lists, progress updates, project costs, and related communications.
Maintains effective communication within and across departments to support project coordination, issue resolution, and operational continuity.
Creates and supports communication mechanisms such as team meetings, memos, open forums, and cross-functional work groups to optimize project operations.
Provides project updates and communicates risks, issues, and progress to stakeholders as needed.
4. Compliance, Safety, and Site Oversight – 15%
Coordinates and attends internal and external meetings to support oversight and compliance related to construction, facility, and security considerations within the Health System.
Monitors projects for adherence to safety requirements, applicable building codes, accreditation standards, and organizational expectations.
Supports compliance with regulatory and construction-related standards, including applicable fire, building, accessibility, and healthcare environment requirements.
Observes project conditions and identifies issues requiring correction, escalation, or follow-up.
5. Project Team Support and Operational Leadership – 10%
Provides day-to-day coordination, support, and direction to contractors and other project participants to promote successful project execution.
Supports project success through coaching, collaboration, follow-through, and clear expectations with vendors and project teams.
Contributes to department and organizational goals by promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement in project management practices.

Job Description:
Education
Bachelors degree in Building Construction or related field required.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience in programming, design planning, construction, move-in, and startup of Healthcare and Office facilities required.
Experience in day to day contractor involvement resolving construction issues preferred.
Experience with Bluebeam, CAD, Excel and Procore preferred.
License/Certifications
Valid and current driver's license required.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities.
Knowledge in planning, delegation, time-management, and problem-solving.
Skilled in AutoCAD, Blue Beam, Adobe, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge of space planning, budgeting and furniture.
Extensive knowledge of move planning, coordination and execution.
Knowledge of all applicable safety codes and regulations, including Joint Commission, NFPA, AIA, and CMS for fire and building codes.
Strong verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and customers.
Able to read and comprehend project plans and specifications.
Able to read, write, and comprehend various written reports and documents.
Knowledge of the change order process owner and contractor originated and all architectural communications.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Ability to work with senior hospital leadership, stakeholders, contractors, outside vendors and all levels of staff in a professional manner.
Able to travel to various locations within the Omaha/Council Bluffs/Fremont area.
Flexible, adaptable to change and able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking.
Analyzes special circumstances that arise on projects and assists with construction managers on problem solving usually complex building construction problems.
Consults with registered architects, professional engineers and designers to assure conformity with customer needs, project requirements, schedules, budgets, safety issues, building codes, the Joint Commission and American with disabilities standards.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
