The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The Key Account Project Manager will report to the Medical Technologies OEM Business Operations Manager and play a critical role in partnering with Cross-Functional Teams to drive effective project management and predictable project execution. This highly visible role will provide strategic leadership to ensure Solventum overachieves on critical customer expectations.

This position requires equal parts team leadership, cross-functional strategic planning, and disciplined project management. You will/may provide insights and recommendations to the Leadership Teams for capital planning, budget decisions, customer communications, and other strategic objectives.  

The Key Account Project Manager will play a key leadership role in ensuring Solventum stays on target for major customer focused projects, short and long term., as well as lead specific cross functional core teams that are responsible for customer impacting projects. Specific tasks include;

  • Responsible for providing oversight and driving coordination to the umbrella master plan, including regularly communicating critical updates to the Leadership Team
  • Responsible for leading projects with full independence, providing guidance on project strategy and execution to cross-functional team, ensuring collaboration and alignment with large-scale global projects
  • Responsible for all aspects of assigned projects including project scope, plan, budget, resource and risk management, problem solving, team and organizational communication. Serve as the primary point of contact for the projects
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and ensure the projects are run within the defined constraints of scope, budget and timelines, adhering to the required quality standards and functional procedures. Establish and practice project controls/governance/standards
  • Evaluate planning and technical risk, take decisions and ensure countermeasures are in place to enable the execution of the project plans on time
  • Work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams across different locations to proactively anticipate challenges, coordinate project timelines, and facilitate decision making

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering discipline (i.e. mechanics, plastics, systems, industrial, biomedical, or related discipline) or specific Project Management discipline AND 5 years project leadership/management experience within product development, manufacturing or research environment.

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Experience in leading and motivate cross-functional teams, and drive projects to completion on time and within budget, while satisfying quality and performance requirements.
  • Proficient in project management principles and tools. Professional Project Management certification is an asset (e.g., PMI).
  • Experience managing stakeholder communication in a matrix organization, and to collaborate with diverse and global cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience performing analytical and problem‑solving work to identify issues and support resolution of work‑related challenges.
  • Experience working with or applying FDA and ISO regulations, standards, or guidelines in a regulated or quality‑focused environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Prior working experience in the healthcare industry or other highly regulated industry.
  • Experience negotiating priorities and addressing work‑related conflicts within a professional or organizational setting.
  • Experience of working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver results. Customer focus and results driven.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and adjusting to changing priorities or requirements.
  • Experience with MS Project

Work location:

· Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Eagan, MN at least 1-2 days per week.

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $163,200 - $224,400, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
