Join the Banking Operations – Payments team to drive cross-functional projects and help the team scale.
Reporting directly to Justine, Head of BO Payments, your mission is twofold: lead strategic initiatives impacting Cards, SEPA/SWIFT, Debt Collection, Local Payments, Logistics, and Controls, while leveraging your technical skills (SQL, AI) to improve monitoring, automation, and decision-making.
👩💻🧑💻 As a Project Manager – Banking Operations Payments at Qonto, you will
Lead strategic & regulatory projects: Coordinate cross-team stakeholders (Ops, Product, Tech, Legal, Risk, Compliance) to secure clear owners and deadlines. You will own the end-to-end follow-up of Internal Audit and Compliance recommendations, anticipating blockers and ensuring sustainable implementation.
Scale operations through data & automation: Use SQL and analytics tools (e.g., Metabase) to build dashboards and cohort analyses. You will partner with Ops Leads to identify bottlenecks, design automations, and explore pragmatic GenAI use cases to help the team work smarter.
Support operational readiness: Ensure the Operations team is ready for new product launches. You will map impacts, update procedures and knowledge bases, and help design run-mode KPIs.
Strengthen risk management & controls: Translate risk and audit findings into clear, pragmatic action plans. You will challenge existing setups with data to reduce manual checks, rework, and incident likelihood.

🤝 About your future manager
You will report to, Justine, Head of Banking Operations Payments, who leads the team responsible for ensuring smooth and secure payment operations across all Qonto markets. Your manager brings extensive experience in banking operations and control frameworks, and is committed to building a robust, scalable control environment while developing team members' expertise.
🏅 About You
Experience: You have 3–5+ years of experience in Operations, Business Operations, Project Management, Consulting, Data, or Product, ideally within a financial services, fintech, or payments context.
Project Management Mastery: You excel at structuring work, aligning diverse stakeholders, driving timelines, and following up until absolute closure.
Data & Technical Skills: You have solid SQL skills (confident writing/adapting queries and building simple dashboards) and make data-driven decisions to translate insights into actions.
Operational Rigor: You maintain high standards regarding operational risk, compliance, and documentation. Experience in internal control, audit follow-up, or regulatory projects is a strong plus.
Languages: You are fluent in French (spoken and written) to communicate clearly and concisely.
Bonus points: Experience in specific payment areas (Cards, SEPA/SWIFT, Debt Collection), familiarity with Forest-like back-office tools, or pragmatic exposure to GenAI tools (prompting, retrieval, summarization).
