Who we are? 

The Integrated Maintenance, Repair & Development Services (IMRDS) Alliance is part of the Anglian Water network and is responsible for delivering and maintaining critical water infrastructure. 

The Capital Delivery team plans and delivers new, maintenance and renewal projects across the water network, upgrading assets, supporting growth and ensuring longterm resilience. Working with Anglian Water and our alliance partners, we deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard for customers and communities. 

Who We Are Looking For 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager – Capital Delivery to join the Programme and Performance team. Working closely with the Programme and Performance Manager and wider colleagues across Capital Delivery, you will play a key role in defining and delivering business transformation initiatives that drive continuous improvement, productivity and best value. 

You will lead projects endtoend, from business case development through to delivery, embedding and benefits realisation. This role is central to shaping future ways of working, supporting dataled decision making and ensuring change is not only delivered, but fully adopted into business as usual.

Key Responsibilities 

You will develop robust business cases and supporting project documentation, defining benefits, costs, risks and timescales. You will manage projects endtoend to agreed scope, time, cost and quality, ensuring risks, issues and dependencies are proactively managed and escalated where required. You will coordinate and motivate project teams, balance internal and contract resources, and maintain robust financial control. 

You will lead change activity including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, golive and BAU handover, ensuring changes are embedded and measurable beyond delivery. You will work closely with stakeholders across Capital Delivery and the wider business to secure buyin, manage dependencies and support adoption. You will track and realise financial and nonfinancial benefits, embed reporting into BAU, drive productivity improvements and support the move towards a dataled delivery environment, ensuring all activity remains compliant with regulatory and governance requirements. 

What Does It Take to Be a Project Manager – Capital Delivery? 

  • Graduate calibre or equivalent experience. 

  • Proven experience delivering complex projects and business transformation endtoend. 

  • Strong change management, benefits realisation and stakeholder engagement capability. 

  • Experience with Agile delivery; Scrum Master accreditation desirable. 

  • Prince2 certification preferred. 

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt desirable. 

  • Strong financial, commercial and business case experience. 

  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, tight deadlines and complex dependencies. 

  • Strong analytical capability with a customerfocused, dataled approach.
