The Job  

The Project Manager, Asset & Logistics is responsible for leading and coordinating all logistics, materials management, and asset control activities across site development projects. This role ensures that all physical and digital assets supporting construction are efficiently sourced, delivered, tracked, and managed from site mobilization through commissioning. The Asset & Logistics Lead plays a key role in aligning procurement, construction, and operations teams to achieve on-time, cost-effective, and compliant project execution. 

Responsibilities 

Strategic Planning & Coordination 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive site logistics plans covering laydown areas, delivery routes, staging zones, and material handling processes. 
  • Coordinate with project management, construction, procurement, and supply chain teams to align logistics and asset activities with project schedules and milestones. 
  • Forecast material, equipment, and storage needs during each phase of site development. 

Asset & Inventory Management 

  • Oversee all asset tracking activities, including receipt, inventory, allocation, and lifecycle management of tools, equipment, and materials. 
  • Maintain accurate asset databases, ensuring data integrity for audits and financial reconciliation. 
  • Manage return logistics, refurbishment, and decommissioning of site assets at project closeout. 

Vendor & Stakeholder Management 

  • Liaise with vendors, carriers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods and services. 
  • Negotiate and monitor performance of logistics and asset management service providers. 
  • Serve as the point of contact between site operations and corporate logistics teams.

Operational Execution 

  • Lead on-site logistics and asset personnel to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly. 
  • Oversee site setup and demobilization, including temporary facilities, utilities, and laydown areas. 
  • Ensure that all logistics operations comply with site safety, security, and environmental standards. 

Reporting & Continuous Improvement 

  • Track and report on key logistics KPIs, asset utilization rates, and material flow performance. 
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication both within the team and with coworkers, teammates, and leaders across the organization.

Qualifications 

  • A bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field is preferred. 
  • 2+ years of experience in construction logistics, site operations, or asset management, preferably within data center, industrial, or infrastructure projects 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills 
  • Proven experience managing logistics operations and leading site support teams. 
  • Proficiency with asset tracking and project management software (e.g., Procore, SAP, Smartsheet, Autodesk Build, or similar). 
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling, procurement, and safety procedures.

Frequent travel between construction sites and storage facilities is required. 

Work Environment 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.  

Physical Demands  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift to 20 pounds.   

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work  

This is a full-time, onsite position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. some nights and weekends may be required.
