RegularThe Project Manager Strategic Operations leads project teams for multiple projects; overseeing budgets, schedules, resources and deliverables for those projects. This position is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution and completion of projects while ensuring they remain aligned with the business needs, strategy, and remain within scope. The Project Manager Strategic Operations ensures that the project adds value to the business by prioritizing projects and communicating to the relevant stakeholders, including oversight committees and the VRO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and execute detailed plan for critical projects, including cross functional start-up
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
  • Provide vision and direction to the cross-functional teams and all stakeholders throughout all projects.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and maintain budget adherence in collaboration with engineering team.
  • As a member of the strategic operations team, participate in all meetings, including daily direction setting, to ensure that risks and/or constraints are escalated quickly.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives and projects that span one or multiple lines of business.
  • Full project life cycle ownership with successful project delivery to include full implementation from initiation to deployment.
  • Understand the interdependencies between technology, operations, and business plan.
  • Continuously communicate with project leaders and cross functional stakeholders to keep them informed as to the project’s purpose, background, scope, schedule, requirements and critical issues.
  • Work closely with engineering team to develop budget and gain formal approval for projects.
  • Create, design, test, train, and document information to ensure system setup and project success.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Monitor and track project milestones and deliverables.

  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Safety Protocol
    • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
    • Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field required.

  • Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Project Management required.

Certification/Licensure Required:

  • PMP Certification preferred.

  • Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, comparative analysis, measurements, statistical analysis).

  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and field-specific software. 

  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to extract, analyze, and act on information with limited supervisory input.

  • Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.

  • Update knowledge and develop professionally on a continuing basis.

  • Seeks out and participates in appropriate training and professional development. 

  • Exhibit a professional manner in collaborating with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
