Job Summary

Responsible for managing the complete life cycle of moderately-to-highly complex projects, including approval, planning, execution and closeout to ensure planned results are achieved on time. Develops budgets, timelines and ensures progress to plan, as well as tracks critical project achievements. Works with vendors and team to establish and achieve goals. Coordinates the activities of a cross-functional team including exempt and non-exempt employees. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead full project lifecycle (initiation through closure) for the delivery of telecommunications services, including WAN, SD-WAN, SASE, SIP Trunking, Hosted Voice, Unified Communications, and managed cybersecurity solutions. 
  • Provide technical thought leadership in collaboration with customer IT staff, solution engineers, and internal design engineers. 
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, internal engineering teams, and third-party vendors, ensuring seamless communication and accountability. 
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, and stakeholder communications using industry-standard tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet). 
  • Manage cross-functional internal and external resources, including network engineers, provisioning teams, voice specialists, security consultants, and field operations. 
  • Ensure technical and operational requirements are clearly defined, documented, and implemented in accordance with client expectations and SLAs. 
  • Drive technical issue resolution and escalate challenges proactively to maintain project momentum. 
  • Facilitate project governance, status meetings, executive reporting, and client readiness reviews. 
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and corporate PMO frameworks. 
  • Contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing across the PMO and delivery organizations.
