The opportunity
Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact
1. You will lead the project team, establish the project execution approach and oversee project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals and develop comprehensive project plans in collaboration with the Project Controls department, encompassing scope, budget, schedule, and risk management.
2. You will manage all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy policies and best practices. This includes monitoring and controlling progress, resources, and financials. Monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, management cost, expenses and cash flow. Identify, qualify, quantify and manage risks, and ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
3. You will ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements. Coordinate with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procure all required services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers. Support Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes.
4. You will act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external
stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders. Ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
5. You will ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy's project management processes and effectively utilize the designated tools and technologies to manage projects efficiently. Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices/
lessons learned aligned with Hitachi Energy's methodologies. Coach and develop team members by providing guidance, feedback, and support, fostering professional growth and enhancing team performance. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and collaboration to achieve project and personal goals effectively.
6. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1. You hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
2. Required with 8+ years of project management experience with a proven track record of managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
3. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams toward successful project outcomes.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey project statuses to stakeholders at all levels.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt to changing project requirements.
6. Excellent time management and organizational skills, being capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
