Project Logistics Specialist

C.H. Robinson is looking for a Project Logistics Specialist to support complex project freight across global supply chains.

In this role, you will coordinate shipments end‑to‑end, work directly with customers, and deliver reliable project logistics solutions using your experience and operational expertise.

Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overall project management and coordination for all project files relating to truck/rail, sea, and air, barge inbound and outbound

  • Ensure that all Shipment obligations are met and that full client satisfaction is achieved

  • Rate negotiations, carrier strategy and carrier selection

  • Set up template for billing and project reports for use by PL Coordinators

  • Develop account relationships with contacts at multiple levels within the customers’ organizations

  • Monitor compliance with insurance requirements, reporting and claim settlement

  • Interface with client representatives when critical issues arise and assess possible solutions

  • Manage customer expectations through the creation and utilization of SOPs, KPIs, and other account specific metrics

  • Conduct regular business reviews, leveraging internal analytics and market intelligence to gain customer insights, and understands positive and negative trends in data, to uncover new opportunities for growth, increase sales, and retain and grow the business by presenting strategic solutions to the customer

  • Travel as directed by the company including onsite work

  • Compliance with corporate policy for communication, confidentiality

  • Completion of the 4 Pillars

    • Fluency in Incoterms 2020

    • 40 hours of logged offsite work (boots on the ground on jobsites)

    • Design solutions and execute from quote to cash

    • General understanding of the CH Robinson Project Execution model and work breakdown structure

  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 5 years project logistics experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% (for offsite Project Logistics Specialist up to 100%)

  • Ability to work independently and provide onsite management of small to medium projects

  • Willingness to be onsite for extended periods of time

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and phone etiquette

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Exceptional customer service skills and follow up

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

  • Knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics and or International Business
