We are recruiting for an IT Project Leader to join the business to work on a variety of projects across the Digital and Technology Infrastructure Delivery team.

Your Role:

Managing project plans (timescales, budgets/finances, resources, governance)

Working with project and programme managers, third parties and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery at high quality

Responsibility for project artefacts (risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, RACI, decisions log)

Responsible for formal status reporting and ensuring Sponsor and stakeholders receive regular updates on the progress

You will identify, communicate and resolve risks, concerns, issues, and dependency blockers, initiating appropriate escalation to the Project Manager or Senior Programme Manager where required

You will deliver high-quality products and services in a fully serviceable state including hand-over to Service support teams

Liaising/coordinating with other project teams across the Asda business and external partners to manage interdependencies, requirements gathering, alignment on timescales and coordination of resources


About You:

You will have at least 12 months’ experience of working on IT Projects, preferably Technology Infrastructure, reporting into a Project or Programme Manager. Knowledge of the Retail Sector is beneficial, but not essential

You understand the concepts of project delivery, and have ‘hands-on’ experience of utilising methodologies such as Waterfall & Agile

You will be proactive, resilient under pressure and able to use your initiative to support project leadership and stakeholders in delivering successful outcomes
