Project Lead

The National Sales Director (Project Lead) will be responsible for the operations and oversight of a team of three District Managers and 25 Sales Representatives.  The national sales team will be educating and promoting on approved client messages to targeted accounts. He/she will also be responsible for delivering on all contractual obligations, as well as personnel and operational requirements. The Project Lead will work across the IQVIA organization and collaborate both internally and with the client to ensure effective execution of integrated solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview and select Sales Representatives and subordinate Field District Managers
  • Handle performance reviews, personnel issues, discipline and termination of Sales Representatives and subordinate District Managers
  • Generate sales in line with project goals as set by Client and agreed upon by IQVIA
  • Act as the primary link between the Client and IQVIA for all operational and human resources/personnel needs relating to the Sales Force
  • Provide monthly reports to the Client
  • Make regular field visits: to develop and motivate Sales Representatives for attainment of sales objectives; to assess and monitor field activity and work schedules; to monitor and manage field reporting by Sales Representatives, including call and sample reporting.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of training and periodic sales meetings
  • Review and approve expense reports; monitor compliance with expense policies.
  • Monitor compliance with Promotional Program, and proper use of Promotional Materials and Promotional Expense Budgets
  • Monitor compliance with PDMA and sample accountability procedures, when applicable
  • Monitor timekeeping and attendance

Requirements:

  • 4 year Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university required
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical National Sales Management/Regional Sales Management experience successfully
  • overseeing a team of nation/region-wide District Managers and sales teams required
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of District Sales Management experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of Regional Director and or National Sales Director experience required.
  • Proven track record in leading a nation-wide pharmaceutical sales team
  • Strong leadership, planning and organization, problem solving and decision

making skills, as well as technical skills

  • Coach and council Field Managers to reinforce product knowledge, core selling message and role model best practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate directly with the customer to ensure that all customer goals and objectives are being met as planned
  • Strong business acumen and ability to clearly and concisely report detailed national sales results and data to internal sales management, as well as the client
  • Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a national sales team and management towards exceeding objectives
  • Aligning performance with success

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior CSO experience

Product launch experience

Previous experience with CNS/Psychiatry, ADHD products a strong plus

The potential base pay range for this role is $160,000-200,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
