As a Project Engineer II for Milwaukee you will be utilizing your engineering skills and project management ability to execute design changes, derivative tool releases and general maintenance of existing products.

You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead small to medium scale engineering projects and provides engineering support on mid-level complexity projects under the supervision of Project Leader.
  • Work cross-functionally and globally with Quality & Reliability Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Service & Support, Marketing, and numerous other departments.
  • Evaluate product designs of project to meet market driven design guides and fulfill cost, timing, reliability, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive project plans and drive project execution to meet cost, schedule, and performance targets per project plans.
  • Monitor & Track project progress and provide weekly project status updates to senior management and the project team.
  • Regularly visit the manufacturing cells/suppliers to maintain open lines of communication with the cell/suppliers and provide troubleshooting analysis as required.
  • Request and perform tests per established procedures
  • Accountable for technical elements of project execution including integration of complicated components and assemblies, material selection, packaging and safety, regulatory and standards compliance.

What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or educational equivalent is required. Preferred degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience.
  • Ability to travel to Internationally & domestically several times of year is required (20% travel).
  • Ability to manage several simultaneous projects is required.
  • Preferred high level of Mechanical/Electrical engineering aptitude, and an understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Must have a working design knowledge of a wide variety of the technologies associated with Milwaukee products.
  • To be successful in this role you will need to be a self-starter who has a strong problem-solving skill set and understands design, testing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Able to provide a basic overview of upcoming workload and identify potential resource bottlenecks.
  • Understanding of DFMA and various cost drivers associated with materials, labor & overhead is required.
  • PMP/CAPM certification is a plus but not required.
