Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to equipment selection, technical specifications, and engineering documentation that ensure safe, compliant, and high‑quality project execution.
How you'll make an impact:
Select and specify process equipment including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, and control valves.
Perform material selection for piping, valves, vessel internal parts and structural components based on chemical compatibility, material, pressure, temperature conditions, and applicable norms.
Define piping components, valves, and instrumentation in alignment with process requirements and project specifications.
Develop and review P&IDs and ensure correct representation of equipment, instrumentation, and control functions.
Prepare and maintain datasheets, technical specifications, engineering lists, and equipment documentation packages.
Support project managers with technical input, equipment clarifications, and participation in design reviews.
Review vendor documents, datasheets, fabrication drawings, and project final documentation.
Perform source inspection at manufacturers’ facilities and provide site support during construction, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality requirements, and project standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
2–5 years of experience in industrial equipment design, process equipment engineering, or water/chemical/pharma projects.
Strong understanding of pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, and valve technologies.
Familiarity with design standards: PED, EN13445, EN13480, ASME VIII, API, ISO.
Ability to interpret engineering documents, specifications, and process information.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality documentation.
Ability to perform, check, and review technical calculations for selected process equipment (e.g. pressure loss, valve sizing).
VT2 (Visual Testing Level 2) qualification required; International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification is considered a strong advantage.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary project environment.
Proficiency in English strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members. German and/or French is an advantage.
Travel: Required, up to 25% of working time.
Swiss or EU citizenship, or possession of a valid working permit in Switzerland.
