About the Role:

The Piping Engineer (PMC) is responsible for overseeing the design review, installation, and execution of all piping systems at site. The role ensures piping works are completed as per project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and timelines while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review piping layouts, isometrics, GA drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure piping design compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, IS, etc.).
  • Supervise on-site piping works including fabrication, erection, welding, and routing.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams to resolve clashes.
  • Verify materials, specifications, and ensure correct usage at site.
  • Monitor welding activities and ensure adherence to WPS/PQR and quality procedures.
  • Oversee testing activities such as hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, and flushing.
  • Track site progress and ensure adherence to project schedule.
  • Review quantities, support in BOQ verification, and check contractor RA bills.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.

About You:

  • Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation practices
  • Understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME B31 series, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret piping drawings and isometrics
  • Knowledge of welding procedures and inspection practices
  • Good coordination and communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability at site level
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
