Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Target Rock team!

You will direct all engineering aspects of projects related to design, development, and supply of high-pressure valves for nuclear power applications or industrial valve applications. Ensures valves supplied meet customer purchase order and specification requirements as well as all industry related codes.  You will provide support to planning, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, contracts, programs, and assembly departments, as required, including proposals needing engineering inputs, engineering changes (ECOs), vendor support, quality audits and dispositioning of non-conforming hardware to resolve any in process issues and/or maintain product flow. 

Salary/hourly rate: $84,000 to $118,000

Your Challenge:

  • Review of specifications for compliance with proposed design.
  • Preparation and release of design drawings and procedures.
  • Preparation and review of design and qualification reports.
  • Direction of qualification test programs.
  • Interpretation of applicable customer specifications and industry codes (ASME BPVC, ASTM, ANSI, AMS, IEEE, etc.)
  • Disposition of non-complying equipment in a timely manner.
  • Resolution of assembly and test problems.
  • Supports Energy Products Sales bid and proposal activities.
  • Provide technical support for customers as required
  • Ensure all project technical requirements are captured on the project’s bill of material
  • Resolve technical issues during product flow from Engineering Release through product shipment
  • Notify program manager of any potential issues that may affect progress of the project
  • Monitor hardware through TR Operations and with our suppliers to ensure there are no technical issues stopping product flow
  • Report component and valve status to the customer when requested
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.

What You Bring:

  • Knowledge of valve products and industry requirements.
  • Three (3) years of valve and/or power plant experience.
  • Working knowledge of applicable ASME and other codes.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Mathcad, , and ANSYS
  • Must be a US citizen

  • Must possess the mental capacity to comprehend information provided daily and make own decisions.

EDUCATION / TRAINING:

  • Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Nuclear)
  • Professional Engineering Registration (preferred)
  • Power Plant Systems training
  • Product application
