We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer!

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly talented Construction Project Engineer to join our team in Seattle, WA (Tukwila). As the Project Engineer with our Waterproofing Division, you will assist Project Managers with the planning and daily execution of construction projects. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining certain aspects of projects as assigned by the Project Managers, including managing submittals and RFI's, quality control, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, and helping to maintain project schedules and budgets. 

Day in the life: Responsibilities

·         Prepare for and participate in project meetings. 
·         Review target dates for completion of tasks with Project Managers on a regular basis. 
·         Assist Project Managers in preparing quotations for contract changes. Obtain quotes from manufacturer and assemble all necessary information for labor estimate sheet, project bid record, and change order summary pricing.
·         Office and field coordination responsibilities.
·         Scheduling vendors, material procurement, labor requirements.
·         Assist in coordinating on-site activities of a project to ensure cost, schedule, and quality standards are met. 
·         Exercise independent judgment related to day-to-day administration of projects.
·         Assist in the development and maintenance of construction project schedules.
·         Assist with the implementation of job site safety procedures, notifications, signage, supplies, and equipment.
·         Assist Project Managers in coordinating team meetings, completing contract documents, and reviewing consultant and contractor pay applications.
·         Maintain document control, review contractor changes and design professional additional service requests.
·         Assist in the development of punch lists and the follow-up necessary to ensure timely completion of punch list work.
·         Develop and maintain professional working relationships with existing clients.
·         Provide follow-up with vendors and clients to ensure approval and return of all project documentation.
·         Provide assistance to Project Managers for submittals and job closeout documentation.

What you bring: Qualifications  

·         4 year degree from a recognized construction management, architectural, engineering, or business program preferred.
·         Previous experience working or interning as a Project Coordinator, Project Admin, or Project Engineer in the commercial construction industry.
·         Knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD / Bluebeam and ability to read and interpret blueprints required.
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·         Proficiency with Excel, Word, construction software.
·         Positive and reliable team player, highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities
