Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

(Supporting the department in different business related tasks).

  • Project planning.
  • Project group forming.
  • Coordination of follow-up and project progress meetings.
  • Elaboration of Raw material specifications, subassembly, inspection, and end item, in coordination with the involved disciplines.
  • Responsible for recommending the important characteristics (dimensions, tests, etc.) for the product performance.
  • Among his/her activities it stands out the recommendation of inspection methods, measurement, and testing to evaluate the product correctly.
  • Capable to have direct communication with molding suppliers, resin distributors, extrusion suppliers, etc.
  • Analyze technical data information of the proposed materials.
  • Develop tooling for risk evaluation such as FMEA to determine risks and recommend actions to control or minimize them.
  • Project plans (Gantt chart).
  • Monthly reports of project progress (CRs), and PMPs.
  • Compliance reports and project progress.
  • Process capability analysis, (CP, Cpk), cost savings calculation (CIP).
  • Coordinate tests with Division laboratories and sterilization tests.
  • Visual and physical tests coordination in the metrology lab.
  • Production runs coordination for engineering samples or qualification tests (per Protocol and/or PQR).
  • Evaluations of materials to be obsolete or scrap and coordinate good incorporation of the materials under change.
  • Develop Qualification Protocols and Summaries with objective evidence of the qualification results.
  • Coordination with technician personnel of the Plant and Division for clarification of qualification requirements.
  • Develop a memorandum of progress about qualifications to suppliers and notifications about the progress of the project and the identified obstacles to Management.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects (Lean, Six Sigma).

Education and Experience:

  • Engineering Finished preferably.
  • 2 Years of experience in manufacturing processes preferably.
  • 2 Years of experience in Quality Systems preferably.

Language skills: English upper intermediate
